Tribute to Rev. Bev Crosby
This mural is in Lynchburg, Virginia, commissioned as a tribute to the late Rev. Bev Cosby, a local minister/social activist. The size of the piece is 25'h x 50'w, but the bottom is 30' off of the ground! It took 10 days to paint, using a 60' straight boom to get to the wall, and a new silicate paint from Eco-House. (I highly recommend it!) The hands are of actual people that were associated with Bev. I got them together for a photo shoot. Tragically, one of the ministers in the photo died shortly after the session. This piece is the first of a series of murals that Lynchburg has planned in their downtown area.
