Dickson, Tennessee

This mural represents the very first commission for public art in Dickson, Tennessee. Working with their Chamber of Commerce, I came up with a design that represents many positive things about DIckson and DIckson County, such as their Army Reserve unit, an historic church in Montgomery Bell, the Renaissance Center, their golf courses, the historic Courthouse, and the importance of the rail industry in the county's development. I also threw in some references to music, dancing and Old TImers Day, as well as a quick nod to the Humane Society. The guy on the ladder, well...that's me. Speaking of which, more than once was I asked about the safety of the ladder, and whether I thought that someone might climb on the roof of the building. Comments like that let's you know that what you did - works!
