Guitar Town
Talk about “different” projects! This is a white, 10’ fiberglass guitar, painted to look like a road weary Les Paul Classic. It is for Guitar Town, a charity project from Gibson Guitars. There will be about 30 of these around town, painted by various artists. But mine is the only one that looks like a real one! Even had some fun with some trompe l’oeil. Take a look at the pick guard, for instance. It’s only painted on! Special thanks to Troy Gentry, of Montgomery Gentry, who was the “celebrity” associated with my guitar. Great guy who even helped me paint!

BTW, the strings are real! Had a guy who makes piano strings make actual guitar strings to scale!
