This is in the Spinning Room. I took a photo of a number of cyclists on an afternoon run. Had to make sure I got behind them for the proper “butt shot.” Not bad, considering that it’s a 30’ wall. Makes the bikers in the room feel that they are in a peloton. (Look it up.)
These are people waiting for a game of basketball, outside of the gym. I couldn’t find enough people waiting on a real game, so I threw a couple of basketballs into the weight room, told the folks what I was doing, and they  posed like they had done it for years.

Yeah, you’ve seen this idea before, at the Jamerson Y in Lynchburg. Well…the people in Roanoke really liked it, so they wanted something similar in THEIR facility. Only this one had SIX windows. Pretty cool, actually.
More of the same. Only better.
This is the Child Watch Room, for 0-4 years old. Kinda fun, with the bears and blocks. Can you see what the center line spells? Cute, huh?
OK, so it was still under construction. But I still think that it was fun to see kids taking a “shortcut to the pool”. In fact I was actually going to have a sign that said “Shortcut to Pool,” but they changed walls on me, and this one had a real door. Only it leads to the kitchen. Would have had a lot of freaked-out kids where they shouldn’t have been had I left the sign alone. Had to change it.
